Walk for Water
Join us on Sunday May 29th for a peaceful walk in support of Save Our Water's "Water for Life, Not Profit" campaign.
At 2:00 pm we will gather at Market Square (in front of City Hall) for a brief rally. We will walk from downtown Guelph to the Nestlé plant in Aberfoyle for a rally in front of Nestlé at 5:30 pm.
Join for some of the walk or for the whole way! Bring your own signs or help carry one of ours. All ages are welcome. Any noise makers or other festive finery would be welcome. Let's give thanks for our water along the way.
How will we get home? We have booked 2 buses to return walkers from Nestlé to downtown Guelph at 6:00pm. Please be sure to RSVP by scrolling to the bottom of this page to help us track numbers
Will drinking water be available? Please bring a refillable water bottle. We will have support vehicles with water refill stations. Keep yourself hydrated.
What if I can't walk the whole way? If you are only able to join for part of the walk, the most important part would be to join us for the 5:30 pm rally at Nestlé. Park at the Puslinch Community Centre at 5:00pm and walk with us for the last stretch.
I've got the perfect costume, can I wear it? Please feel free to let your freak flag fly! Costumes, festive finery, peaceful flags, banners and noisemakers are all welcome. This is a celebration of the precious water we want to save.
