This training session is designed for any local leaders working on a specific water protection, environmental justice, or social justice issue who are interested in doing better advocacy, organizing for power, and winning grassroots change through campaign organizing.
In this training session, you'll learn about the theory of change behind community organizing principles and the fundamentals of campaign organizing. You'll leave with a basic understanding of fundamental organizing principles and action frameworks to start or refine your local advocacy work, as well as key campaign pitfalls to avoid and areas for further learning.

This is a 2-hour participatory training session with interactive learning, participatory exercises, and group reflections, so all participants should be ready to actively participate. These sessions are NOT recorded to support the privacy of local leaders working on potentially sensitive issues and to empower authentic sharing within the group.
