Water Watcher’s Decolonial Solidarity Guelph chapter, in collaboration with OPIRG is hosting a solidarity Walk with Wet’suwet’en on August 14th 6pm - 8pm.
Meet Up at the trail behind the Ukrainian Church at 6pm to join in on an evening of community and connection. The walk will be followed up by a picnic at the south side of Royal City Park at 7pm. Light snacks will be provided but you’re also welcome to bring your own! The intention of this event is to walk alongside the Eramosa and Speed Rivers, to deepen relations, while also thinking about the health, well-being and threats to the Wedzin Kwa river.
There will be lots of space to socialize, hear from great speakers and take digital actions to call on RBC to divest from funding the Coastal GasLink Pipeline threatening the Wedzin Kwa River.
