Join Wellington Water Watchers and go door to door with us in Erin to stop Nestlé's proposal to pay a 'voluntary levy' to the Erin Town Council for the water it extracts from the Hillsburgh well.
Nestlé Waters Canada is offering to ‘voluntarily’ pay the Town of Erin for water it extracts from the Hillsburgh well. This so-called ‘voluntary levy’ is yet another example of how this multi-national predatory water extractor creates divisions in communities, and attempts to subvert government regulation in its insatiable quest to secure water for profit.
Erin Town Council will be voting on Nestle's proposal on Tuesday April 18, 6:30 pm at the Town of Erin Municipal Offices.
