I am incredibly lucky to work in the environmental and social justice sector at this wonderful non-profit, Water Watchers. We use the lens of water to invite people into the climate justice movement and to act in solidarity with Indigenous movements who are on the frontlines of the climate crisis. Our work is largely based in Ontario, Canada but we have work and collaborations that connect us to the global nature of the water & climate crisis, from California to Maine to Brazil, Europe, India, Nigeria, and beyond.

The reality of this work (at our organization and almost every other environmental nonprofit) is that core funding is scarce, so we have to work year-around to raise funds to sustain & grow our work.

I'm reaching out to my wonderful network to help me raise $5500 for my 55th birthday (Oct. 24) so we can continue this work of pursuing a more just water future for all, which I believe in so deeply.
